Secretaries Covid-19 update, 2nd November 2020Dear members,
With sadness I must announce that as of the 5th November 2020, Headley Park RPC ranges will be closed. NSRA guidance confirms that shooting ranges have been specifically mentioned as being required to close for this second period of lockdown. The gate code will again be changed during this period of lockdown.
This new lockdown is due to end on the 3rd December when the club should again be available for members to book via Eventbrite. However just as soon as we are allowed to resume shooting I will also post on this website to confirm that we can get going again. 2020 will not go down as being a glorious one for shooting sports. Much work has been done to make our ranges Covid secure, so it comes as a blow that we are again required to close.
On top of this we are looking at how we can deliver some type of AGM this year. Pre-Covid we had been looking at a date in May, and now all thoughts of a physical club meeting this year are out of the question. We are hoping to take advantage of the club email system that Martin Odell has set up to circulate accounts and allow members to vote on things like the election of committee and officers. Covid has not allowed us to make progress with the conversion of the club into a not for profit limited company and this will now be defered until 2021.
